I write essays, create photographs and help organizations communicate with greater clarity.

For more than two decades, writing has been the thread connecting everything I do. Photography gave me another language. Digital marketing became the profession that allowed me to remain independent. Together, they form a body of work driven by the same question: how can we better understand the world and leave it better than we found it?

Through long-form essays, photography and conversations, I explore sustainability, history, travel, minimalism, technology and the systems that quietly shape our everyday lives. My work isn’t about chasing trends or producing content for the sake of it. It’s about slowing down, asking difficult questions and offering perspectives that invite reflection rather than outrage.

A life shaped by movement

Although my writing began when I was ten years old, my perspective was shaped long before I understood what perspective even meant.

Growing up across several countries exposed me to different cultures, languages and ways of seeing the world. It taught me that many of the things we consider “normal” are simply local habits viewed through familiar eyes. That realization has influenced everything I’ve written and become since.

Rather than seeing travel as a collection of destinations, I came to see it as a way of questioning assumptions, including my own.

Writing first

Writing has always been at the center of my work.

Whether I’m exploring environmental solutions, forgotten moments in history, consumer culture or everyday observations, my goal remains the same: to connect ideas that don’t usually appear together and encourage readers to look beyond easy answers.

I believe complex subjects deserve nuance. Curiosity is more valuable than certainty, and thoughtful disagreement is healthier than comfortable consensus.

Photography as another language

Photography complements my writing.

A photograph can preserve atmosphere, emotion or detail in ways words sometimes can’t. Whether documenting landscapes, cities or quiet everyday moments, I’m less interested in creating perfect images than in telling honest stories.

Digital marketing

Professionally, I work as a digital marketing consultant, helping organizations grow through strategy, storytelling and meaningful communication.

Over the years I’ve worked with businesses ranging from startups to established brands, helping them build stronger relationships with their audiences through content, social media and digital strategy.

That work supports the freedom to pursue the creative projects that matter most to me.

Beyond the website

Alongside my writing, I’ve hosted the Clarity with Teekay podcast since 2019, appeared as a guest on several podcasts, and continue to develop long-form projects exploring society, sustainability and the human relationship with the natural world.

This website brings those different threads together in one place.

What drives my work

Everything I publish is guided by a few simple principles.

I value curiosity over certainty.

Depth over speed.

Evidence over slogans.

Nature over unnecessary consumption.

Long-term thinking over short-term convenience.

I don’t believe every question has a simple answer. But I do believe asking better questions is often the first step toward building a better world.
